A stunning coastal walk including beach and headland views.

SUITABILITY
This walk is suitable for those of reasonable physical fitness, including families.

HIGHLIGHTS
Sunshine Beach is one of the Sunshine Coast’s most beautiful village experiences. Small cafes, restaurants and the newly renovated Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club ensure you’ll have plenty of fuel for the journey ahead. The starting point also features public amenities and BBQ facilities.
The first kilometre traces north along the beach past many popular surfing spots. Once you reach the headland, trail number 4 is a steep incline (219 concrete steps) hugging the coastline and providing spectacular views of Sunshine Beach. The path then relaxes into a formed rock pathway to complete the journey down to Alexandria Bay. When walking between July and October keep an eye out for humpback whales! This annual migration is one of nature’s most amazing sights and this walk features many prime vantage points for keen observers. The more adventurous may want to venture out to the rock pools and water hole edge for breathtaking coastline views.

AFTERWARDS
Turn around at Alexandria Bay and enjoy the return views. Relax and unwind back at one of Sunshine Beach’s many social spaces.

HOW TO GET THERE
To Start: Via David Low Way heading north, turn right onto Hill St. Then right onto Duke St at the roundabout.
To End: The end point is the same as the start point.
