Explore the Maroochy River as it meanders around the Eudlo Creek Conservation Park.

SUITABLILITY
Very suitable for beginner kayakers as thew waters are calm.

HIGHLIGHTS
Explore Eudlo Creek (a side estuary off Maroochy River) and on a calm day see beautiful mirror reflections of the mangrove-lined creek. This is a tidal creek so be mindful of low tide. Expect to see a wide range of sea birds including egrets and other waders.

Fishermans Road was once the landing place for cargo-laden steamships and schooners from Brisbane in the 1880s. It is close to the Sunshine Coast Paddlesports Club (107 Fishermans Road).

AFTERWARDS
On Sunday’s Fishermans Road has markets. Head further afield if you wish to enjoy some bushwalking up at Buderim Forest Park.
There is an excellent playground facility for children and BBQ and picnic areas are plentiful along the water’s edge.
You can hire kayaks from Bradman Avenue Maroochydore.

HOW TO GET THERE
To the starting point: Access is from the Lions Park off Fishermans Road, Maroochydore. There is ample parking. This is the designated launch point for waterski and paddlesports. It can be busy on weekends but during the week days is often uncrowded.

To the end point: This is an out and back loop paddle – start here and finish here.
