A lovely quiet suburban bushland reserve that straddles Tewantin National Park and the Noosa Golf Course – a great little haven for exercise and relaxation.

SUITABILITY
Suitable for walkers and joggers, wheelchair folks, prams, recreational cyclists and mountain bikets. It’s flat and open in parts.

HIGHLIGHTS
Heritage Park is a natural 20 hectare reserve situated between Tewantin National Park and the Noosa Golf Course.

Designed as the recreational hub for Noosa Parkland residents, in what is classified as part of Tewantin. Approximately one-third or 7 acres of the parkland has been landscaped. As well as the planting there are generous open spaces for social football, Frisbee or tag, as well as a large children’s playground .

The parklands also has creeks and other waterways flowing through it, including a billabong – because of this some of the paths or bridges are flooded for a period of time after heavy down pours. Birds spotted in this area include: Little Lorikeets, Spangled Drongos and Sulphur-crested Cockatoos,

If you have family members who have gone riding at Wooroi Day Use area, this could be a pleasant alternative for walkers to come and while away some time.

AFTERWARDS
There are many other walks and cycles to be done in the Tewantin Surrounds. Use our search tool to find one. If you have not done it, make sure you pop up to Mount Tinbeerwah – it’s a short walk from the car park and the views are fabulous, particularly of the lakes and sandblows to the north.

Visitors are welcome to pop into the Noosa Golf Club House for refreshments.

HOW TO GET THERE
To the starting point: Heritage Park is located in the Noosa Parklands Estate approximately 4Kms from the Tewantin Post Office.

From Tewantin or Noosaville head to the Cooroy Noosa Road. Just passed Beckman’s Road, and the Carama Nursing Home, take the second right into Griffin Avenue. Follow this road nearly to the end. The path starts just behind the bus stop near Parkview Court.

To the end point: The end point is the same as the start point.

Note: There are other access points if you prefer to do a circuit: from Club Court, Billabong Way, Park View Court, Palmer Crescent, Tinaroo Place, Avron Close, Greenway Court and Caddy Place.

Great track for kids with scooters and bikes. Our dog enjoyed the run, with a stretch of this track off leash. Easy walk, nice and flat.
