Enjoy a bush experience on the backdoor of Eumundi.
SUITABILITY
The majority of trails in this Conservation Park are forest road width and shared by walkers, mountain bike riders and horse riders.
HIGHLIGHTS
Nestled between Noosa and the charming hinterland town of Eumumdi, this handy reserve has a nice network of fire trails. It’s an undulating landscape of tall wet eucalypt forest (gums and ironbarks), rainforest and grassy open sections, along with creeks and sheltered gullies.
The blackbutt track accessed from either Eumundi Noosa Road or Seib Road goes right through the guts of it. In the middle you will come across an old cattle yard.Enjoy the birdsong and watch for wildlife. And take your GPS.
Note: some sections through the woodlands is muddy and wet after rain. But that never hurt anyone!
AFTERWARDS
The Eumundi Conservation Park extends further south and you can access it from North Arm Yandina Creek Road.
For refreshments? Well, when you are this close to Eumundi, what are you waiting for? Head to the main strip where there are bookshops, cafes, a Thai restaurant and a wonderful Queensland pub with sensational salads.
HOW TO GET THERE
To the starting point: You can access the Eumundi Conservation Park from 2 directions:
1) Via Seib Road, which is off Eumundi Noosa Road, about 2 km from the main street of Eumundi. (This is the route that is mapped). Head down this road for almost 2 km until you come to Verrierdale Forest Road on your left. Follow this road to the end and park at the information sign.
2) Via the Eumundi Noosa Road. Driving from Noosa it’s on your left hand side just after the car wreckers. Take the same driveway. Plenty of room for horseriders to off load their float here or at the Seib Road entrance.
To the end point: The end point is the same as the starting point.
